ANU faculty members Dr. John Kamau and Paul Kahenya have developed a blended learning module on ‘Principles of Management’ to improve the learning experience and outcomes for both students and instructors.
The program is part of the Association of Commonwealth Universities’ (ACU) ‘Partnership for Enriched Learning, PEBL’ in which Kenya’s Commission for University Education alongside its EA region counterparts are parties.
There was extensive research undertaken towards the development of the program including extensive training on conducting training online. This has already proven an invaluable resource shared with other members of faculty as the University made the transition from contact learning to distance learning for the May 2020 trimester.
The module is set to be made available by the ACU as an Open Learning Resource to benefit Universities worldwide.
Following the success of this project, ANU faculty members Dr. Obuhuma and Victoria Mukami have received funding support in the next phase of the ‘Partnership for Enriched Learning, PEBL’ project to develop another module for blended learning
